Galaxy Note 3 To Sport 6.3-inch Display, Galaxy S4 Ready For MWC [Rumor]
Great things are coming to Samsung. According to The Korea Times, Samsung is planning to reduce its investment in liquid crystal displays (LCD) and instead, focus more to organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays, as well as plastic-based flexible displays. If you think that is something wonderful, the publication is also reporting that the South-Korean consumer electronics giant is already working on the Galaxy S4, with plans of announcing it at the Mobile World Congress in February next year.
Even better is the Galaxy Note 3, which, according to The Korea Times, will sport a 6.3-inch screen and an OLED display. Sources also told the publication that Samsung will begin selling its 55-inch OLED TVs next year. “The global LCD industry is seeing signs of a major shift as Samsung is spending less on conventional LCDs. With money saved from LCD restructuring, the firm plans to spend more on OLED and flexible displays. Profitability is the top priority for Samsung’s display-making business next year,” an executive from one of Samsung’s key local parts supplier said on Monday. Now that’s really interesting.
