Asus Taichi Touch Ultrabook Going For $2000 In December?
You can more or less say that the Asus Taichi Touch Ultrabook was one of the more unique Windows 8 devices that have been spotted in recent memory, although the product did not really see the kind of boom that one would have expected, having hit snags such as delays for more than just once despite being priced at approximately $1,300. Digitimes has a different story this time around, touting that the Asus Taichi will finally roll out at a IT Month trade show in Taiwan this month, with a sticker price that is guaranteed to scare away its fair number of curious fans. We are talking about a price increase to approximately$1,992.
It is said that Asustek originally intended the Taichi to be priced under the $1,600 mark, but with the low yield rates as well as escalating cost issues, Asus can only turn a decent profit if they were to price the Asus Taichi Touch Ultrabook for $2,000 thereabouts. Definitely a time to “un-Scrooge” yourself this Christmas if you want one.
