“Lenovo became the worldwide number one consumer and notebook PC company in fiscal quarter two and remained as the largest PC company in emerging markets, including China,” the company told the Hong Kong stock exchange. Lenovo’s claim might sound ballsy, but at least it has the numbers to prove.
Lenovo’s increasing shipments seems to support the claim that the company is succeeding in a time where others are struggling. In October this year, research firm Gartner said that the global PC shipments have declined 8.3 percent compared to Q3 last year. The firm also announced that Lenovo took the top spot in worldwide PC shipments for the first time.
