The current iPad screen uses a 2048×1536 display which outputs about 264ppi, so if this rumor is true, Android will finally have a tablet screen that runs on higher resolution than the iPad. This specific rumor comes from “internal sources” contacted by The Next Web, but they’re pretty good on reliability and the revelation matches up with previous leaks and rumors. While a Nexus 10 with a beautiful display would be great, there are lots of Android users that just want to see cool updates to the Android platform. Apparently, there’s a form of user switching in the works.
Google’s slogan for the event–“the playground is open”–leads us to believe that this is going to be a fun event with a bunch of new features to “play” with.
