Rovio is probably best known for their extremely popular mobile game, Angry Birds, from which there have been numerous spin-offs, merchandise, and even theme parks! That being said, Rovio has announced their first ever book app dubbed the “Bad Piggies’ Best Egg Recipes”. If you’re wondering why this sounds familiar, it’s because the print version of book was released last year and if you’re worried that this app is simply a rehash of the physical copy, fret not. According to Rovio’s CMO, Peter Vesterbacka, “We took the content from the book, 41 egg recipes, but didn’t want to just take the book, make a PDF and sell it to people. We actually made it a lot more interactive.”
The app will come with 41 egg-related recipes which includes step-by-step instructions, an egg timer, photos of the finished product and even allows users to upload photos of their attempts online. Rovio has also announced that a Chinese version of app will be available in the Chinese app store soon with additional recipes and photos.
