There are two sizes available – 21.5″ and 27″, carrying resolutions of 1920 x 1080 and 2560 x 1440, respectively. Apple claims that the new iMacs have 75% less reflection thanks to the laminated display as well as new anti-glare coating that they use, and each display is touted to be individually calibrated on the manufacturing line itself so you can get to work right away after unboxing.
A FaceTime HD 720p camera is thrown into the mix, where it is accompanied by dual microphones and dual speakers to keep you entertained. Other hardware specifications include a choice of Core i5 or i7 processors from Intel, NVIDIA Kepler graphics, up to 768GB of flash memory or a 3TB hard drive, and 32GB RAM. A quartet of USB 3.0 ports will keep three Thunderbolt ports company, too.
The new iMacs will ship from November onwards, where the 21.5″ model starts from $1,299 upwards, while the 27″ model will have a starting price of $1,799 (shipping in December).
