Fourth generation iPad revealed

The fourth generation iPad has been announced, where it is touted to be a “powerhouse” that carries with it an A6X processor which essentially doubles the previous CPU and graphics performance, delivering iPhone 5 levels on a tablet form factor. Not only that, Apple has included the new image signal processor that is found in the iPhone 5 on the new iPad, that still proudly delivers 10 hours of battery life. The FaceTime camera is, as expected, now been bumped up to 720p, while a Lightning connector and dual-band Wi-Fi rounds off the list of specifications.

Wait a minute, we’ve forgotten about its new camera connectors, USB, HDMI and VGA adapters in addition to the much envied Retina display on a tablet. Pricing details remain the same for the 16GB WiFi model at $499, while the 16GB cellular model will start from $629 onward. Are you miffed that the third generation iPad has “retired” so fast from its position at the top of the perch?
