Google TV gets Google Play Movies, TV shows, and music
Your Google Play experience would be more complete from today onwards – especially after the Internet search giant (who has since moved far beyond the scope of your regular search algorithms, dipping their fingers into various other endeavors) has ensured that your Google TV will benefit from the likes of Google Play Movies, TV shows, and Music over the coming weeks. To put it in a nutshell, you are now able to purchase or rent content straight via the Google Play Store on Google TV, while purchases that you have made on other devices will also be automatically available on Google TV itself. Google Play titles can be discovered via the TV & Movies app, where recommendations for shows and movies that are available on live TV and apps such as Netflix, Amazon, and Google Play will pop up for your viewing discretion.
End media consumers are not the only ones who will benefit from this, as developers too, will also find this particular update useful since it enable many other Google Play features such as auto-updates, subscription billing, and smart app updates. As you can purchase or rent content straight through the Google Play Store on Google TV, this would mean purchase which were made on other devices will also be automatically available on Google TV, now how about that for convenience?
