It was just last week when we talked about how an app enabled the “floating touch” feature throughout the Sony Xperia sola smartphone, but it seems that this was a particularly unnecessary app to install as the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the Sony Xperia sola has introduced a feature known as “Glove Mode” which will allow users of the smartphone to use floating touch technology even when one is wearing gloves. I guess come winter, Xperia sola owners will need not worry about removing their gloves to expose their fingers to the bitter cold when they are trying to text their family or friends. The Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update arrived for the Xperia sola, Xperia Go and Xperia U, but the Xperia sola seems to be the only one that will receive the Glove Mode feature. Which is a good thing, I would say, what do you think?
Of course, others might say that having Glove Mode work with all apps via the app would be the ultimate, but how many times do you actually touch your handset’s display with wet fingers? If that is the case, you would do well to settle for a more durable handset like the Xperia acro S.
