It was just last week when we talked up a new tablet from the folks over at Best Buy, where it was dubbed as the Insignia Flex. This particular tablet has its very own product page now, carrying along with it a 9.7″ capacitive touch-panel display at 1024 x 768 resolution that will place it in the same league as the Apple iPad – in terms of screen size, at least. Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich is the operating system of choice, while a 1GHz TI OMAP 4428 processor should be decent enough to get it going for most tasks.
Other hardware specifications include 8GB of internal memory, a 2-cell lithium-polymer battery, built-in 802.11b/g/n wireless LAN, a 2-megapixel shooter up front, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes. Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity is thrown into the mix as well for wireless connectivity to accessories such as a portable keyboard. The entire Insignia Flex tips the scales at 1.5lbs and measures 0.5” thin, and will cost you $249.99. Interested in this mid-range tablet?
