The Algiz 10X has been IP65-rated, where it also meets stringent MIL-STD-810G military standards for protection against dust, water, vibrations, drops, extreme temperatures and varying altitudes. It is lighter than your average entry-level notebook at a mere 1.3 kg (2.9 lbs), taking up just 32 mm (1.2″) of thickness in your traveling bag.
Other hardware configurations in the Algiz 10X include a u-blox GPS receiver and WAAS/EGNOS/MSAS capability, Bluetooth 4.0, WLAN 802.11 b/g/n, being WWAN Gobi 3000-ready, an integrated 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, a bunch of connectivity options, all powered by the Intel Atom N2800 dual-core processor with 4GB RAM. It might be powered by Windows 7 Ultimate now, but it sure as heck is ready for some Windows 8 action. No idea on pricing, but the Algiz 10X rugged tablet will arrive next January. [Press Release]
