Wii U specs leaked, comes with 8GB of internal storage (Rumor)
We did take a look at the Wii U controller in a preview earlier this year, but until now, there has been no official word on the specifications of the upcoming Wii U console from Nintendo. The latest on it should be taken with a grain of salt though, where the Wii U is touted to come with just 8GB of internal memory; and frankly that is rather pathetic in this day and age, although the possibility of support for external hard drives is comforting but some folks might figure out that the inconvenience of keeping track of various external hard drives might be a turn off.
The self-proclaimed ‘anonymous source’ claimed that the Nintendo Wii U will ship with a three-core ‘Espresso’ CPU and a DirectX 10.1 compatible AMD Radeon GPU. An SD memory card slot is also thrown into the mix for good measure, and you get Wi-Fi connectivity, Full HD output, cable support for HDMI, Wii D-Terminal, Wii Component Video, Wii RGB, Wii S-Video Stereo AV and Wii AV, and a quartet of USB 2.0 ports. If you are one who looks on the bright side of things always, the Nintendo Wii came with half the amount of internal memory, that is, 512MB. We do look forward to the Wii U announcement that’s happening later this week.
