When it comes to the release of consumer electronic devices, one can always look to history as an indicator of what is to come. Well, the Nokia Asha 306 that was announced in June earlier this year was launched not too long after that, so perhaps the same can be said for a leak of the Nokia Asha 309. The Nokia Asha 309 remains unannounced as at press time, it does seem to resemble a similar model as that of the Nokia Asha 306 on the inside, although it will most probably target different carriers.
The Nokia Asha 309 does seem to be headed towards a release in China, as the leaked image of the Nokia Asha 309 appeared on the Chinese forum Baidu, where it was posted alongside images of the Chinese-bound Asha 306. Will both devices be launched tomorrow? Only time will tell, and this is where the virtue of patience comes in handy. Either way, it will look set to be a winner among those who are looking for a budget handset, and need no smartphone features.
