Nintendo TVii revealed

So the Nintendo Wii U will be arriving in the US this November 18th, but is that the only trick from Nintendo’s bag? Not really, as Nintendo has just announced the Nintendo TVii (we sort of like the naming convention with the double i’s behind), which will be a service that enables users to enjoy watching movies, sports and television using the Wii U. Some of the other features include those that touch on the social side of things, letting viewers connect with other Wii U users over Twitter, Facebook and other like-minded services.

Not only that, Nintendo TVii will also boast of a personalized program guide that pulls together what your TV offers, including popular services such as Netflix and Hulu Plus, in addition to your DVR. All users will have their very own profile, and Nintendo TVii eventually will be able to have enough data to make program recommendations depending on your taste. You will use the Wii U Gamepad to browse through the service, and this service will accompany each Wii U for free, sans monthly fees. Expansion across the Americas is being explored by Nintendo at the moment, where the world of TVs and video games do seem to be amalgamated more and more these days.
