HTC Flyer 2 rumored to sport Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 chip and an aluminum anodized body
While HTC has been pretty busy releasing new Android smartphones (and possibly upcoming Windows Phone handsets as well), things on the tablet front have been pretty quiet, although a recent report from the folks at PhoneArena has suggested that we could be looking forward to a HTC Flyer 2. While the device has yet to be officially announced, PhoneArena claims that we expect to see a 7” display with a resolution of 1280×768 along with an anodized aluminum body similar to that on the HTC One S.
It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 chip and will sport a 3MP rear-facing camera, a 1MP front-facing camera and will run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. No word on pricing or if it will come bundled with a stylus (the stylus on the Flyer was sold separately at its launch), but hopefully the details will be revealed on the 19th of September (which some believe might be Windows Phone related, but we’ll see). If you enjoyed the original HTC Flyer and wouldn’t mind getting your hands on its successor, check back with us on the 19th to see if there are any details to be had about the rumored device.
