BioWare promises Star Wars: The Old Republic to get content update every six weeks
It was a while back that there were reports of BioWare’s Star Wars: The Old Republic facing a decline in logins, suggesting that players might have gotten bored and tired of the MMO. If you are one of those players, or if you’re still hanging on and hoping that things will start to shape up, you might be interested to learn that BioWare will be taking a pretty aggressive approach as far as content is concerned and will be releasing major updates every six weeks. This was revealed by BioWare Austin’s general manager, Matt Bromberg, in an interview with AusGamers.
“We’re committed to: about every six weeks, doing a major update for the game […] which would be a new Warzone, a new Operation, a new Flashpoint, a new event — and to doing that on a really frequent cadence, every six weeks. So we’re going to stick to that.”
Will the move to free-to-play and the promise of content updates every month and a half be enough to convince players to come back, or to keep them playing? What do you guys think? SWTOR (ex) gamers out there, let us know in the comments below!
