LG QuickMemo feature arrives for Optimus L-Series smartphones
LG has kept their promise to make the QuickMemo feature available to more of their smartphone range, and this time around it would be the Optimus L-Series of smartphones that are on the receiving end via a maintenance release upgrade. This particular upgrade is offered in select regions at first, although it will be available around the globe at the end of the 3rd quarter. For the uninitiated, LG’s QuickMemo feature enables one to capture whatever content you see on the screen right there and then, including web pages, graphics, photos and videos. You can then write, draw, or jot a memo onto the captured screen itself using your finger (although a stylus of your choice would also probably work just as well), and this QuickMemo note can then be shared with other folks through a variety of methods – over text, chat, or email.
Once the upgrade is downloaded, you can call upon QuickMemo simply by pressing the volume keys or using the notification bar. Currently, the Optimus L-Series of smartphones will comprise of the Optimus L7, L5, and L3. Have you gotten your QuickMemo already, and how do you see this stack up against smartphones from other manufacturers? The smaller screen size of a smartphone compared to a phablet like the Optimus Vu would put it at a disadvantage when it comes to QuickMemo, methinks. [Press Release]
