DENZIPFADEN interactive outfit targets DJs
Now here is a piece of clothing that DJs would definitely fall in love with – especially for those who have a flair for fashion. The name itself is nigh unpronounceable, where DENZIPFADEN is the result of Dutch fashion designer Maartje Dijkstra’s work that will target DJs by delivering an interactive, high fashion outfit. This men’s outfit will let you alter the volume of your music and throw in samples as well as anything else that you want to do with a MIDI controller. All you need to do is pull on the half dozen zippers on the suit and a bracelet, and you are good to go. This particular project was developed alongside DJ and electronic composer Beorn Lebenstedt (Newk), which makes plenty of sense since it takes a DJ to know what another DJ wants.
This is truly a one-of-a-kind suit, where it is directly handcrafted out of golden silk and polyester wires, not to mention featuring custom made golden zippers. The suit was developed in an extremely specific manner according to how Maartje Dijkstra wants it, relying on laborious handcrafting methods to create unique one-of-a-kind piece. The entire project takes months to complete, so you know for sure that this is one major labor of love. I am not quite sure just what kind of laundry you would need to send this to to keep it nice and clean.
