Apple’s next generation iPhone will be thinner and longer than the iPhone 4S? [Rumor]

The rumor mill surrounding Apple’s next generation iPhone is getting more and more interesting. This time, we are hearing reports that it will be thinner and longer than Apple’s current flagship iPhone – the iPhone 4S. This rumor was speculated by a Taiwanese website called Apple.pro. The site has published scans of an article that was taken from a local newspaper and it shows purported measurements of the so-called iPhone 5. A quick handy Google translation reveals that it will allegedly measure 58.47mm wide, 123.83mm long and 7.6mm thick.

If the measurements are to be believed, then the new iPhone could be longer and thinner when compared to the iPhone 4S’s vital stats of 115.2 mm x 58.6 mm x  9.3 mm – height, width, and depth respectively. Furthermore, other modifications and enhancements in the upcoming iPhone are said to include an elongated design to accommodate a 4-inch screen, relocated headphone jack, nano-SIM tray inclusion, MagSafe-style Dock connector with 8 or 9 pins, and NFC. But as interesting as it may seem, it’s important to note that these are merely rumors at least for now, so I recommend that you take it with the finest grain of salt.
