Apple now asking court to punish Samsung for serious misconduct

Following the stream of updates from the Apple versus Samsung dispute in court that recently included Samsung’s bold move to release an evidence to the press that could prove once and for all that the South Korean tech giant didn’t copy Apple’s design. After Judge Lucy Koh expressed her disappointment for releasing the unsolicited evidence, Apple is now asking the federal court judge to rule in its favor for leaking the evidence to the press.

Apple filed a request late Wednesday evening saying that the court should punish Samsung by way of ruling that the patents disputed are indeed infringed by Samsung. Apple added that if the court wishes to decline its request, the court should at least instruct the jury that Samsung has engaged in a serious misconduct. Samsung has yet to respond to the allegations. Yesterday, a Samsung lawyer told Judge Koh that the company did not violate any Court Order or any legal or ethical standards and added that Samsung hasn’t issued any press release.
