T-Mobile introduces Samsung Galaxy Note

Earlier this morning, we talked about how T-Mobile sent a tweet that mentioned the Samsung Galaxy Note was confirmed for a release by the mobile carrier, but since each tweet is limited by 140 characters only, we decided to hunt down the press release which rolled out later in the day for further details. Well, the phablet known as the Galaxy Note will be one of T-Mobile’s fastest devices to date, where the mobile carrier has confirmed that it will leverage its 4G (HSPA+) network while being powered by the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system that is accompanied by Samsung’s Premium Suite.

Not only that, the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note will also feature the SAFE (Samsung Approved for Enterprise) designation, and just what does that mean for the end user? Well, it translates to a full suite of enterprise-ready features and capabilities, ranging from a comprehensive IT policy support for top-tier mobile device management (MDM) providers to on-device AES256-bit encryption, enhanced support for Microsoft Exchange, and integrated support for a range of virtual private network (VPN) solutions.

It will be available in “the coming weeks” from select T-Mobile retail stores and online channels, while pricing details remain to be confirmed. [Press Release]
