Mac OS X Mountain Lion: over 3 million downloads
The latest update to Mac OS X, Mountain Lion, was only released last week but it looks like it’s now the most successful OS X release in Apple’s history. According to a press release this morning, Apple announced that downloads of Mountain Lion have exceeded three million in four days. Talk about impressive! Considering how popular the previous version of Mac OS X was (over one million downloads a day as well), I guess it’s no surprise that Mountain Lion would surpass it. Then again, the $19.99 price tag is a pretty good price for an OS update as well.
Mountain Lion is said to introduce over 200 new features to Mac OS X including Messages, Notification Center, system-wide Sharing, Dictation, AirPlay Mirroring, Game Center, iCloud integration and more. How many of you downloaded Mountain Lion over the weekend, and what do you think of it so far?
