Casio unveils two rugged Android tablets designed for business users

If rugged Android tablets are your thing, then you might be interested to learn that Casio has debuted a pair of rugged Android tablets aimed at the enterprise sector, or business users who find that they have to travel to rugged terrain often. Both the V-T500-GE and V-T500E tablets run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and are encased in a rubber shell that is said to be able to protect the tablet from drops of up to 1 meter in height, and are both splash and dust-proof as well.

Under the hood, both tablets will sport a 10.1” display and will be powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core TI OMAP4460 processor along with an NFC reader. As it stands, we’re not sure what the difference between both offerings are, with the exception of the name.
