This would make Virgin Mobile the second carrier in the US to offer up a prepaid iPhone, with the first being Cricket. No word on pricing just yet, but with Cricket offering it up at $499.99 for the 16GB iPhone 4S and $399.99 for the 8GB iPhone 4 at $55 a month for unlimited calling and texting, we don’t expect Virgin Mobile’s to stray very far in terms of their own pricing. According to the WSJ, this would help with Sprint’s deal with Apple which had them committed to purchasing $15.5 billion worth of iPhones from Apple over the next four years. Either way we will be keeping our eyes peeled, so stay tuned for updates.
