Samsung ChatON service arrives on Omnia 2 in South Korea
So you have WhatsApp and other kinds of instant messaging programs that will are able to let you communicate with different mobile devices with an Internet connection (Wi-Fi or over a data plan) regardless of operating systems – and Samsung too, has tried to jump aboard this particular bandwagon with their Samsung ChatON service. While Samsung did release ChatON on several platforms already, here we are with the latest release – the Samsung ChatON service will be released for the Omnia 2, which is available only to South Korean customers. Basically, this translates to ChatOn availability on a now defunct operating system, which would be Windows Mobile 6.1. For those who want to give it a go, you will be able to download it here. After installation, how do you find it? Still some legs left in the old school Omnia 2, no? Hard to believe that the smartphone is not even 5 years old and it has aged tremendously already.
