Redesigned Foursquare app to arrive this week with personalized Maps
If you utilize Foursquare often, you might be interested to learn that the location-based service will be getting a makeover in the next few days. No specific dates were mentioned, but here are a couple of new features that you’ll want to look forward to. This includes a personalized Maps tool which will help to supplement the app’s Explore tab. As pictured above, the personalized Maps will feature the various places that you or your friends have checked in before and by using that information, better recommendations can be made and could also result in deals being offered as well. According to the folks at Mashable, the new app will also reportedly allow merchants to purchase placement for their promotions which we guess could prove to be pretty handy and could lead to you saving money in the future.
