Pinterest not announcing anything at Google I/O

Remember our story late last night about how Pinterest might just introduce Pinterest for Android at Google I/O which is happening later this week? It is not going to happen after all, as a Pinterest spokesperson emailed us, saying, “We’re excited about the Android platform and are working hard on building a great app. However, we don’t have plans to announce anything @ I/O.”

I guess that’s that for the moment – straight from the horse’s mouth itself, no less. At least it is one less speculation to think and mull over, which allows us to concentrate our writing guns on other more delicious rumors that might come our way before Google I/O kicks off for real. Apart from that, it is also interesting to note that Pinterest for Android is well on its way, so it is just a matter of time and patience before we see it released on the Google Play Store.
