Chris Arbogast, director of marketing for Nyko Technologies, said, “To embrace the enormous growth of mobile and tablet gaming, our new controllers will provide physical and familiar controls to tablet gamers for a console-like experience. Tablet games are evolving, pushing the envelope of graphics and performance. The only limitation has been the lack of physical-input controllers, until now. We are happy to collaborate with the veterans at NVIDIA to create dedicated hardware that’s optimized for games running on the Tegra chipset.”
Some of Nyko’s fall offerings would include the full-sized controller known as the PlayPad Pro, delivering an at-home gaming experience thanks to its dual analog sticks, D-pad, face buttons and shoulder triggers/bumpers. As for the PlayPad, this is Nyko’s mini controller that comes with dual analog sliders, a collapsible tablet stand and a carrying case.
These controllers will be usable out of the box, so there is no need to go through any lengthy or complicated rooting process, now how about that? It will play nice with your Android tablet as long as it runs on Android 3.0 Honeycomb or higher, not to mention requiring the presence of Bluetooth connectivity. [Press Release]
