Nokia 808 PureView available in the US now

Well, we did mention about the possibility of Nokia USA’s June 18th announcement touching on a Nokia 808 PureView release here Stateside due to the many clues which were dropped along the way, at it does seem as though we were right – the Nokia 808 PureView has been made available in the US. In fact, the website has been updated to reflect the availability of this smartphone in this part of the world, bringing a whopping amount of megapixels to the table.

Having said that, do you think you would be curious enough to pony up the money in order to bring the Nokia 808 PureView home? So far blind tests by some sites have shown the Nokia 808 PureView to be at the top of the class in terms of camera performance in smartphones, making the Nokia 808 PureView deserving of one’s attention. One word of advice – don’t ditch your dedicated digital camera yet though, as at the end of the day, smartphone cameras have not yet matched the performance of a dedicated digital camera, although they have grown by leaps and bounds for sure.
