Newest ultrasn0w version unlocks iPhone 4, 3GS on iOS 5.1.1
Want to unlock your iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS that run on iOS 5.1.1? That should not be an issue at all, especially when the latest version of ultrasn0w has been released. On a side note, RedSn0w 0.9.12b1 was also rolled out, but let us take a closer look at the newest version of ultrasn0w first, shall we no? The good people over at the Dev-Team have managed to conjure this particular miracle, where it will discard whatever carrier lockdown issues after unlocking your device. Version 1.2.7 of the unlocking method will play nice with the iPhone 4 that run on baseband 01.59.00, while those who are still running on the more ancient iPhone 3G and 3GS will need to be on 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04 or 06.15.00. To make sure that the most recent ultrasn0w release is not left all alone, the Dev-Team has also released a new copy of RedSn0w, bumping up the version number to 0.9.12b1 for both Windows and Mac platforms.
