New Nintendo 3DS games detailed at E3 2012
[E3 2012] Japanese gaming giant Nintendo has furnished additional details concerning the slew of their 3DS titles for the portable 3D console, where users are able to enjoy original intellectual property with a new twist, in addition to online-enabled offerings for the year ahead. We did touch some on New Super Mario Bros. 2 at the Nintendo press conference yesterday, where this new side-scrolling installment will roll out on August 19th, with the Mushroom Kingdom bursting at the seams with more coins and gold than ever before. You are able to turn into Gold Mario and Raccoon Mario with the right flower, and lay the challenge gauntlet down amongst your friends to beat your high score in the new Coin Rush mode. Not only that, New Super Mario Bros. 2 is the first hand-held Mario title that lets you enjoy a cooperative two-player mode for the entire game over a local wireless connection.
Other titles that will arrive in the year ahead include Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate (what a really long title!), Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, Disney Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion, Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Scribblenauts Unlimited, and Kingdom Hearts 3D. [Press Release]
