New MacBook Pro photos leaked
So Apple CEO Tim Cook did say that he wanted to double down on the secrecy of their products before they arrived at the market, but I guess somewhere along the way, someone failed to receive the memo, and has managed to obtain some leaked photos of what is purported to be the innards of the upcoming MacBook Pro – just a day before Apple’s WWDC happens right here in Ubergizmo’s base city – San Francisco! The photos hail from Chinese forum WeiPhone, where they seem to suggest a similar industrial design as that of previous models, even the screw placements remain the same.
The components, however, are definitely different – but the motherboard remains the same as the current one, holes in all the right places and all. This might point towards the possibility of having a similar exterior aluminum unibody design. The poster of the leaked images proceeded to claim that the 15-inch MacBook Pro will come with a range of 2.3GHz, 2.5GHz or 2.7GHz Ivy Bridge processors for you to choose from, in addition to them running on Nvidia’s GeForce GT 650M graphics card endowed with 1GB GDDR5 graphics memory.
Retina Display? That was not mentioned at all, but who knows, this could be part of the doubling down of secrecy, no?
