Microsoft unveils new Bing UI and features in the US

If Bing is your preferred choice of search engine or if you’re looking for something new, Microsoft has officially taken the wraps off its new UI for their search engine services. Now it seems that the new UI is currently limited to US users at the moment, but if you’re living overseas, changing your region setting should be able to load the new UI for you. 

Upon first glance it looks like Microsoft is taking its Metro UI very seriously and is most definitely integrating it across their products and services. Looking to make the integration of Bing easier, Microsoft has allowed users to login to it services using their Facebook accounts, Windows Live accounts or even their Xbox Live accounts. The integration of social networks will allow Bing to return search results called “friends know” which will be based off a variety of different social networks.

While we’re sure that Microsoft is most definitely looking to steal some of Google’s thunder, we guess we will have to wait and see if the new Bing UI and its features will prove to be tempting enough for users to make the switch. More information on the changes can be found at the Bing blog.
