We’re sure that by now, most of you guys have probably seen the alleged leaked components of the next-gen iPhone. These components have surfaced in various photos, videos and renderings which has indicated that the iPhone 5 could be seeing a larger display. However since these images cannot be confirmed for their authenticity, we have been rather skeptical so far and have been taking this with a grain of salt. Unfortunately not everyone feels that way and one particular manufacturer has gone as far as to start creating cases for the iPhone 5 based on the “leaks” we’ve seen so far.

This has resulted in a case that will support a “taller” 4” display and a smaller dock connector, along with the larger speaker grills at the bottom and the two-toned design. The schematic pictured above isn’t the final product, but they are based on what the manufacturer believes to be the real specifications. If you recall back in 2011, there were reports of manufacturers releasing cases for the iPhone 4S based on rumors. Safe to say this was a waste of effort and not to mention money. However the lure of creating products that are good to go on launch day is pretty irresistible, especially given that the accessory industry for iOS devices does seem pretty vibrant and lucrative.

So what do you guys think? Did this particular manufacturer waste their time and money on building a case for a phone that may or may not look like the leaks?
