LG’s “Shine Out” display technology targets public spaces
LG Electronics look set to ensure their “Shine Out” display technology will make its way to public spaces outdoors or in areas that have a high amount of ambient light, including shopping malls, window displays, lobbies, outdoor transportation centers and quick service restaurant drive-through kiosks. According to dan Smith, Digital Signage Director, LG Electronics USA, “With advances in display technology, outdoor displays represent the newest approach to bringing digital signage to under-utilized spaces. Whether they are first time digital signage users or advanced professionals, any business owner operating in a public or outdoor space can now employ captivating and effective digital signage to better reach customers and to help meet their business goals.”
Just what kind of displays are we talking about here? The new 47-inch class 47WX50MF Outdoor Display will come with technologies which make it the ideal solution to deliver messages in outdoor spaces. Sporting LG’s In Plane Switching (IPS) panel technology, it is said to deliver accurate color saturation and contrast at wide-angle viewing (both horizontal and vertical), letting it offer great picture quality so that you can install it at virtually any angle or height.
Not only that, LG ensures that their displays will be able to withstand a temperature tolerance of up to 230 degrees Fahrenheit (110 degrees Celsius), so you need not worry so much about overheating issues that proves to be a common problem. Apart from that, the 47WX50MF, if you like model numbers, is also said to be Energy Star 5.1 compliant. [Press Release]
