Canadian carriers will keep the 50GB Dropbox deal for Samsung Galaxy S3 owners
A while back it was reported that both AT&T and Verizon’s version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 would not be getting the free 50GB Dropbox promo that came with the device. No word on why that is (we’re thinking it might have something to do with the recently updated Dropbox app for Android 4.0 that allows for video streaming) but it seems that the news got our friends up North in Canada a little worried. Well if you’re living in Canada and you’re worried that the Dropbox promo might not be picked up by your carriers, fret not as Samsung has confirmed (via Mobile Syrup) that the Canadian bound Samsung Galaxy S3 handsets will be partaking in the Dropbox promo.
For those wondering, Dropbox usually only offers 2GB free by default and 50GB a year would normally cost you $99 annually. However if you purchase the Galaxy S3, you will be getting the additional space for free for the next two years. For those living in US, it seems that both T-Mobile and Sprint are still on for the promo, so if you really want that free 50GB, you still have a couple of carriers to choose from.
