Apple CEO confirms new Mac Pro designs and models due for next year

Earlier today, we wrote to you about Apple’s Mac Pro lineup that apparently has been “quietly” updated as well. We mentioned a tad of updates including a new quad-core Mac Pro model that will retail for $2,499, a 12-core Mac Pro model at $3,799, and the Mac Pro server version priced at $2,999. But as far as the word “amazing” is concerned, many Apple fanatics – particularly Mac Pro users – think that the new updates are small and are simply not enough.

A Mac Pro user named Franz apparently sent an email to Apple CEO Tim Cook yesterday, expressing his disappointment of the minute update. Tim Cook reportedly replied to Franz assuring him that a new Mac Pro is underway. Apple also confirmed today that the company is working on new models and designs for its Mac Pro desktop lineup that will be scheduled for release sometime next year. Thanks for your email. Our Pro customers like you are really important to us. Although we didn’t have a chance to talk about a new Mac Pro at today’s event, don’t worry as we’re working on something really great for later next year. We also updated the current model today.
