Aperture for iOS hinted in Apple job listing
Both the iPhone and iPad are used by many photographers as a means to not only take their photos, but to edit them as well. Thanks to apps like Snapseed and the recently launched iPhoto for iOS, editing photos on iOS devices have gotten to be more powerful and more readily available. Well if you felt that both these apps were still lacking in some features and you prefer a more “professional” grade editing app, then you might be interested to hear that according to a recent job listing, it has been hinted that Apple’s Aperture photography software could see a port onto iOS.
The job listing is calling for a Software Engineering Manager for Aperture and what’s particularly interesting about the listing is that it calls for some who’s had “recent hands-on development experience with MacOS or iOS”. No word on if and when we will be able to see Aperture arrive on iOS devices, but with other Apple software such as Pages, Garage Band, iPhoto, etc making their onto iOS, we guess it would not be a complete stretch of the imagination to see Aperture make that transition as well. Photographers, what do you guys think? Are you looking forward to Aperture or do you think that the current iOS photo-editing apps are sufficient?
