Back in 2011 when Verizon launched the Motorola Droid Bionic, it proved to be a pretty popular device. However one of its drawbacks is that unless you decided to flash an Android 4.0.4 ROM onto the device yourself, you would pretty much be stuck with Android 2.3 Gingerbread. We guess this really isn’t an issue for those who are fine with the way their phones are, but if you can’t wait for Android 4.0, you’re in luck as an Android 4.0.4 build for the Droid Bionic has leaked.
According to those who have flashed the ROM onto their phones already, they are reporting that the user experience is pretty good, or “buttery smooth” if you’d prefer. However this probably isn’t for the faint of heart or for those who might be less tech savvy, but if you’d like to try your hand at flashing and rooting your device, or if you already know how to, pop on over to Droid Hive for the download links and instructions. In the meantime check out the video above to see Android 4.0.4 running on the Droid Bionic.
