Verizon to enable global roaming for the HTC Rezound, Droid RAZR and DROID 4?
Unfortunately due to the radios used by Verizon in some of their phones, global roaming was not a possibility. However the carrier did mention earlier this year at CES that some of their LTE devices such as the LG Spectrum and the DROID 4 would eventually become “global” phones, but according to Droid-Life’s sources, those two devices are not the only ones that the carrier will allow for global roaming. According to a snapshot of the info sheet for the HTC Rezound, a global feature is apparently “coming soon” to the device that will allow it to be used in an additional 185 countries, and word has it that other devices such as the RAZR will soon be updated to include this feature as well. Oddly no word on the RAZR MAXX, but given that the phone shares the same hardware as the RAZR save for a larger battery, we wouldn’t be surprised to learn that both the RAZR siblings will eventually get global roaming features as well. No word on when this feature will be enabled, but be sure to check back with us for more updates in the near future!
