After the massive success that the Beats by Dre headphones were, it seems that now country singers are dropping their name in the hat for the same reason. Tim McGraw is the latest celebrity to put his name on a pair of headphones. The country singer collaborated with JBL and Harman to come up with his version of headphones that plays audio “how he wants the fans to hear him”. The JBL Artist Series headphones by McGraw will come in two styles, in-ear (earphones) as well as on-ear (headphones).

The on-ear headphones are touted to feature dynamic range in the form of an “intense bass response” and simple portability where you can fold up the headphones and carry them around in either black or white colors. As for the in-ear headphones, it features an interesting addition of a closed-back design which apparently helps reduce ambient sound to increase the crispness and clarity of the music even at lower volumes. The earphones will come packaged with three different silicon tips to ensure that the customer can get the best fit. On top of that, purchasers of the in-ear headphones will get a Tim McGraw-branded pouch.

The folks at JBL and Harman, “promise to deliver an unparalleled listening experience for consumers”. Since that remains to be seen since it will only be going on sale on the 15th of May, we will leave that for later. The in-ear and on-ear headphones will cost around $49.95 and $129.99 respectively. In the meantime, embedded above is a video which shows Tim McGraw discussing his series of headphones.
