Noctua set to debut prototype noise cancelling PC fan next week
The more powerful your computer setup is, the more heat it will tend to generate especially if you’re packing powerful graphic cards and have a lot of processes going on. That heat needs to be cooled, thus the existence of cooling fans and liquid cooling systems. While liquid cooling systems might be a cooler solution, not everyone has the know-how or the need for such cooling systems and will resort to fans. The drawback to fans is that they can get pretty loud and if your computer fans are starting to get on your nerves with its loud whirring noises, cooling fan manufacturer Noctua is set to debut a cooling fan with integrated noise cancellation at Computex.
According to the company, this is merely a prototype and it is based off the Noctua NF-F12 model and uses the noise cancellation technology from RotoSub. With Computex taking place next week, we guess we don’t have long to wait to see if Noctua’s efforts will pay off. For those unfamiliar, Noctua is a pretty famous and popular brand favored by PC builders as their cooling fans tend to be pretty efficient and relatively quiet, so you can understand why we are pretty excited to see if Noctua’s latest efforts will prevail. If you’re a PC builder or someone looking to throw a rig together, be sure to check back with us then for the details.
