Nikon D4/D800 receives firmware update, fixes lockup problems
Earlier this month, we reported that owners of the Nikon D4/D800 were experiencing some lockup issues with their cameras. This was acknowledged by Nikon themselves who then offered a temporary workaround solution while they worked on a fix. This involved turning off some features like “Highlights” and “RGB Histogram”, features that we’re sure some D4 and D800 owners might miss. Well the good news is that Nikon has finally released a firmware update that should be able to solve the lockup issues along with several other bugs that caused aperture and exposure compensation to change unexpectedly when using certain customized settings. Nikon D4 owners can grab the update here while D800 owners will be able to download the firmware update here. Do let us know if the update have managed to fix the problems on your DSLR cameras!
