One of the drawbacks to being an early adopter is that in the case of the PlayStation Vita, you do not have that wide a range of games to choose from compared to the PSP. That’s not to say that developers aren’t hard at work creating games for the console, and if you’re a fan of racing games, here’s something you might want to take note of – Criterion has started advertising for a software engineer job position to start work on a yet-to-be announced PS Vita title.
The job description (spotted by Superannuation) includes “tuning the games resource system for the PS Vita”, “implementing interoperation between PS3 and the Vita”, and “interfacing the game engine with several parts of the Vita OS”. While none of the details of the game was given away, some have speculated that the title could be none other than the new Need For Speed game, while Burnout would be another plausible title. Given that a new Need For Speed title has been confirmed to be in the works by EA for 2012, this could be the reasoning behind the speculation. What do you guys think? Are you looking forward to Need For Speed or Burnout on the PS Vita?
