LG Optimus LTE2 announced, headed for Korea
Sure, the LG Optimus LTE2’s announcement is a whole lot more muted compared to what Samsung unveiled at London earlier this afternoon (Pacific Time), but then again, the target audience for the LG Optimus LTE2 is a totally different one. We are talking about a South Korea release here, where it will offer an interesting specification list for an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich powered smartphone. After all, how many smartphones these days will come with 2GB of RAM? This is exactly where LG is taking the LG Optimus LTE2 to, in addition to featuring a True HD IPS display, as well as wireless charging capabilities to keep up with the Joneses. Heck, even the battery has been targeted to be a 2,150mAh model, giving it a 50mAh advantage over the Galaxy S3. No idea on what kind of processor will the LG Optimus LTE2 see underneath the hood, but a quad-core chip should not be too surprising. Expect the LG Optimus LTE2 to arrive in South Korea sometime in the middle of this month for a yet undisclosed price point. [Press Release (Korean)]
