iMac knock-off looks pretty close to the real thing
We’ve seen various knock-offs of Apple’s products in China, such as iPhones, iPads and even their Mac series of computers, although the latest iMac clone (via M.I.C Gadget) might be taking the cake as it even comes with the Apple logo as well! Safe to say Apple will not be pleased by this and might ultimately take legal action against them. However if you’re living in China and you’re looking for an iMac-lookalike that doesn’t break the bank, then this might be it. Manufactured by Chinese company Rahway, upon first glance you could be forgiven for thinking that this is a real iMac. In fact for the most part, the manufacturer got the design down pat save for its keyboard, which is rather chunky, along with the placement of its IO ports.
As far as its specs are concerned, the computer will feature a 21.5” 1920×1080 Full HD display, a 1.8GHz dual-core Atom D525 processor with integrated GMA3150 graphics, 4GB of RAM, a 500GB 7200RPM hard drive, a built-in DVD burner, four USB 2.0 ports, HDMI-in and VGA amongst other things. According to the folks at M.I.C Gadget, it seems that the Apple logo is optional and can be purchased without it, or with it if you’d like a more “authentic” experience. What do you guys think? Pretty convincing, no?
