Huawei Ascend P1 drops by the FCC

Whenever a device makes an appearance over at the FCC, you can be sure that an approval would signal a release date date that is getting closer and closer to its arrival for that particular device. Well, the Huawei Ascend P1 has decided to pop over at the FCC and have some tea with the folks in authority over there. Touted to be rather close in terms of specifications as with the Ascend P1 S (which is a slimmer form factor), Huawei’s Ascend P1 will feature pentaband HSPA+/UMTS support, which means there is a probability (no matter how remote) that the Huawei Ascend P1 could very well make an appearance over at AT&T or T-Mobile in due time. Obviously, this bit of speculation would go a long way in being helped if either carrier would actually release a word of confirmation or show off some intention of doing so. We do know that the Huawei Ascend P1 will be powered by the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, and it ought to arrive in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Australia before May is over, followed by Europe and Latin America shortly after that.
