YouTube, just like Google, can be a repository of important information for many, ranging from recipes to changing a car tyre or perhaps even repairing the plumbing in your home. The HTC One S, while not exactly the flagship smartphone model from the Taiwanese manufacturer at this point in time, ain’t half bad at all as a smartphone, and for those who want to perform a screen/display replacement by yourself (and hence voiding your warranty in the process) can always check out the YouTube video above, courtesy of DirectFix. This is one of the rare forays into the innards of the HTC One S, one that is hardly caught on camera simply because the smartphone has yet to garner its fair bit of attention to date. The tools of the trade required would be a nylon spudger, a Torx T5 and precision Phillips screwdriver, and steady hands being a prerequisite – which rules me out, unfortunately, where steady hands are concerned. Perhaps those who feel that they have a future in a career of surgery might want to give this a go.
