Google to release 5 Nexus devices on November 5 to celebrate Android’s 5th birthday? [Rumor]

Last week, we wrote to you about the rumor surrounding Google’s plan to reveal five Galaxy devices running Android 5.0 codenamed Jelly Bean by Thanksgiving this year. But as far as the rumor is concerned, Google is still mum about it. Today, however, we are hearing reports again that the search engine giant will be launching 5 Nexus devices on November 5 to celebrate Android’s 5th birthday. According to TalkAndroid, a source of theirs told them to expect five Nexus devices arriving on November 5.

“A reliable source just told us that we can expect to see them on November 5th. Why November 5th? It just so happens it’s Android’s 5th Birthday. Now you can clearly see why they plan on offering five devices,” TalkAndroid wrote.

But while this rumor is very exciting, we are also a bit skeptical about it. Android will be turning five this year. Android’s history began with the beta version in November 2007. A year after that, the first commercial version, Android 1.0, was released on September 23 with the HTC Dream as the first device to run the OS. TalkAndroid admitted though that it is still unclear if the said devices will actually arrive on the said date. For now, it will be better for us to be ambivalent about this new rumor.
