It seems that Apple is very confident of how its next MacBook Pro is going to be received. That is, if this rumor has even the tiniest kernel of truth in it. According to a report by DigiTimes (via CultOfMac), Apple has begun placing massive orders for its MacBook Pro 2012 and subsequently this is rumored to be causing havoc to its supply chain as many of them are reported to be facing labor shortages which are affecting their ability to meet Apple’s demands.
The report goes on to say that some of them have had to outsource a few orders to keep up with the demand. The information comes from an unknown source who apparently told DigiTimes that the manufacturing plants in East China have been “taken by surprise during what is usually the IT industry’s traditional slow season”.
For now, it is essential to take this information with the necessary amount of salt since it is just a rumor but if it is true, then Apple is indeed preparing for the rumored launch date which was said to be sometime in July. Apparently, prior to this article, there was word around the internet that production for the 2012 MacBook Pro started in April along with a plethora of other rumors and while we’re saying that we should not bank on this being the gospel truth, there is a chance that it could be true as well. As always with rumors though, it looks like we’ll just have to wait and see.
